Wellness and Guidance Centre

A place to pause. A space to heal.

Life doesn’t always give us the space to understand what we’re feeling. Sometimes, we need someone who will listen without judgment — a space to slow down, make sense of our thoughts, and find our way forward.

At MIN’DOO, we believe every conversation can be the beginning of something meaningful.

02About MIN’DOO

A space where you can simply be.

മിണ്ടൂ — the MIN’DOO logo in Malayalam
മിണ്ടൂ Our name comes from the Malayalam mindoo — a gentle invitation to speak. At MIN’DOO it comes with a promise that we are ready to listen. The name works both ways: you speak, and we listen without judgment.

Sometimes, we carry thoughts we don’t know how to express. Emotions we struggle to understand. Questions we haven’t found the courage to ask.

MIN’DOO is a space for those moments.

We founded MIN’DOO because we saw a real need for a place where people could feel safe, valued and truly listened to. It is a healing space built on compassion, offering non-clinical counselling and emotional and psychosocial support tailored to each person’s life. Whoever walks through our doors should feel welcomed, understood and hopeful.

Because seeking support isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s an act of self-understanding.

You’ll find MIN’DOO at Oberon Mall, an everyday, public space that people visit for ordinary reasons. That makes walking in for counselling feel natural and free of stigma, with no clinical setting to feel anxious about. MIN’DOO is also a women-led venture, started by women entrepreneurs who wanted to build a caring space for the community.

  • i.

    Heard, not judged

Whatever you bring is welcome. We listen with care, curiosity and respect.

  • ii.

    Private by design

Discreet from the very first message, with confidentiality at the heart of every session.

  • iii.

    At your own pace

No pressure, no timelines. We move forward together, when you’re ready.

The apostrophe in our name is our small symbol of the mind: the inner world of thoughts, feelings and experiences that each person carries. By placing it at the heart of our name, we remind ourselves and our visitors that every conversation here begins with understanding the mind behind the words.

03Our Services

04Meet Your Psychologist

Every journey deserves to be heard.

You aren’t simply choosing a centre. You’re choosing who you feel comfortable speaking with about your life.

Sreelakshmi Meledath

Counselling Psychologist

Sreelakshmi believes healing begins when people feel genuinely heard. Her sessions are warm, collaborative and free of judgment — a space to explore what you’re carrying, understand it more clearly, and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

“I am an actress in the Malayalam film industry. I studied Psychology to deepen my acting, but once I began working as a psychologist, I realised that Psychology was my true core. I stayed in this profession because I saw that I could touch people’s lives.”

“An invitation to speak, a safe space to be heard, and an open heart to listen.”

05Your Journey

Three gentle steps. No pressure.

Not knowing what to expect is often the hardest part. So here’s exactly what happens — before you even need to ask.

  1. 01

    Reach Out

Take the first step by sending a short enquiry, a message or a call. Share only what you’re comfortable sharing.

  2. 02

    Begin Your Conversation

Meet your psychologist in a supportive, respectful setting. There are no right words — we’ll begin wherever you are.

  3. 03

Move Forward at Your Own Pace

Explore your experiences, understand your needs, and work towards goals that are meaningful to you.

Questions you might be holding

What happens after I reach out?

We’ll get back to you within one working day, discreetly, to understand what you’re looking for, answer your questions and help you choose a time and format that feels comfortable. There’s no obligation to book.

What happens in the first session?

Your first session is a gentle conversation. We begin by getting to know each other and explaining how we work and how your privacy is protected. Then you share whatever you are comfortable sharing, and I listen. There is no pressure to say everything at once. By the end, we talk about what you would like from counselling and agree on the next steps together, including whether and how often you would like to meet again.

How long is a session, and how do I pay?

We offer both 30-minute and one-hour sessions, in person at our centre or online via Google Meet. Fees and our cancellation and rescheduling policy are shared when you enquire. You can pay by UPI, cash or bank transfer, and we provide a receipt for every session.

Do you see children and teenagers?

Yes. Clients under 18 need the consent of a parent or guardian before counselling begins. We respect the young person’s privacy in their sessions. If there is a risk to their safety, we will inform the parent or guardian.

Do I need to know what to say?

Not at all. Many people begin with “I’m not sure where to start.” Your psychologist will gently guide the conversation, and you can share as much or as little as you like.

Will I be judged?

No. MIN’DOO is built on compassion and respect. Whatever you bring — big or small — is welcome here.

Is what I share kept confidential?

Yes. What you share in your sessions is treated as confidential. As with all professional psychological services, there are limits: if there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else, or where disclosure is required by law, information may need to be shared with the appropriate people. Your psychologist will explain this clearly in your first session, before you share anything sensitive.

Is MIN’DOO an emergency service?

No. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call 112. For free, confidential mental health support in India, available 24×7, call Tele-MANAS on 14416.
